Course Structure:
Three Sessions: The course consists of three sessions.
QUALIFIER/WARM-UP: Participants engage in shooting exercises at a distance of 21 ft, aiming at an 8 x 11 target. You must demonstrate safe firearm handling and shooting skills. The following is required for the qualifier: Firearm, 30rds of ammunition, ear and eye protection. Bring firearm and magazine unloaded, in a pistol case. NOTE: You Must Transport ammunition separate from firearm.
LECTURE: This is an all-Classroom segment. You will cover all the topics require by the NRA, included in this instruction is the legal requirement of Michigan. Bring a lunch!
RANGE: Practical application of NRA guidelines.
Requirements:
Firearm and Ammunition: Bring the firearm intended for carry and at least 150 rounds of ammunition.
Accessories: Two magazines (for semi-automatic pistols) or two speed loaders (for revolvers), and a strong side holster - Outside Waistband (OWB), heavy belt.
Safety Gear: Mandatory ear and eye protection.
